How exactly does Lumera work?
Lumera warms your candle from above with a special halogen bulb, with no open flame at all. The surface of the wax melts gently and evenly, so the scent unfolds in a controlled and more intense way. Just set down the candle, place the lamp over it and switch it on.
Does the lamp only work with Núan candles?
Lumera is optimized for Núan candles but works with any candle in a glass jar that fits under the shade. For the best scent experience we recommend Núan candles, since their natural ingredients are made for gentle melting.
Why does the candle last so much longer with Lumera?
An open flame burns the wax: afterwards it’s gone. Lumera only melts the top layer without burning it. When you switch the lamp off, the wax sets again and can be melted again. That way you use the same candle up to 3× longer than with a flame.
Is Lumera safe around children and pets?
Much safer than an open flame. There is no fire, no sparks and no soot. The halogen bulb gets warm, but not hot enough to cause burns the way a flame can. We still recommend placing the lamp out of reach of small children.
Can I replace the halogen bulb?
Yes. Lumera uses a standard halogen bulb that is easy to replace. A spare bulb is included.
What wood is the lamp made of?
Every Lumera is made from hand-selected real wood. Thanks to the natural grain, every lamp is one of a kind. The wood is untreated and left natural, so it keeps its warm, authentic character.
How long is the cord?
The cord is approx. 6 ft (180 cm) long: enough to place the lamp comfortably on a nightstand, shelf or side table without the outlet being right next to it.
How do I clean Lumera?
Simply wipe it with a soft, dry cloth. If wax residue sticks to the shade, switch it on briefly: the wax softens and comes off easily. Don’t use cleaning products on the wood.
